Hey guys. I have a confession to make. About 2 times a month, I do a random search of everything I can think of for a few people from my past that I would like to contact again. 2 of them actually contacted me recently, and I am so happy about it! It's good to hear that they are doing good and both have families and children and pretty good lives, for the most part. However, there are a few people, all tied together, that I can't find, and honestly, I don't think I will. I have been trying to find my nieces and nephews FOREVER. They have been adopted, in small groups, by some wonderful families, and I don't think that they would be allowed to have anything to do with me, but I just want to tell them how much I love them, and miss them, and that they ALWAYS have my heart, and somewhere to stay, should they EVER need it. Kayla, Michael, Noah, Issac, Jacob, Skyla, I love you all so much, and it breaks my heart knowing that I may never see you again. If you ever see this, please feel free to contact me. I love you all so much!

Ok, I'll stop the mushy stuff. Sorry, I just get so sad sometimes.

Anyway, yesterday we celebrated my grandfather's 93rd birthday! How many people can say that? It was also for my step-grandmother, and a tiny bit for my kids, but not really. That will be later. :) It was a pool party, at my aunt and uncle's house. It was wonderful! I even graduated. lol. This past Thanksgiving, I was put in charge of bringing the tea. Now keep in mind, this is Florida, and tea is a VERY important part of ANY get-together, and even of many normal meals. So I was proud of myself for bringing not only plenty of sweet tea and unsweet tea, but also a few flavors of tea, including a yummy Valencia flavored one, complete with fresh picked tangerine. It was pretty tasty. Well, apparently my aunt thought I did a pretty good job, because THIS time, I was asked to bring an APPETIZER! I was looking for something tasty, easy, and slightly inexpensive, since it was for 20 people or so. I think my choice of Queso Dip was a pretty good one, since there was hardly any left, and at least 5 people asked me for my recipe! Refer to the previous post, if you would like it. I prefer it the next day, by the way, but when we have geek night, where everyone comes over and we play DnD all night, this is a GREAT option! So enjoy. :)

Queso Dip

Ok, so we went to Grandpa's 93rd birthday party today, and I brought some queso dip, and everyone was asking for the recipe, so here it is real quick.

1 lb ground beef
1 large yellow onion
1 package of Knorr rice sides, the Southwest one with beans and veggies
1 can of refried beans
1 1 lb package of Velveeta

You following?- this is real hard...

Dice the onion. Brown beef and cook onion at the same time, until beef is cooked and onion is soft. Drain them.

Still following?

Cook the rice according to the directions on the package.

Now cube up your Velveeta while you are waiting on the rice and meat.

Here's the REALLY hard part, ya'll- Throw everything into the crock pot, turn it to LOW, mix it up every once in a while, make sure it's melting, and go about your business. In about 2 hours, it will be just about perfect.

Serve with tortilla chips.

If you have leftovers, microwave them the next day, and spread on soft taco shells and sprinkle on lettuce and tomato. Tasty. :)

It's been 3 years and 2 days....

Since I became a mother. A real live, baby chasing, diaper changing, no more free time and loving it mother. My little girl turned 3 on Friday, and I don't know where the time went! My son will be 2 in 10 days, as well, and he has even been acting older these past 2 weeks. It's kind of weird. lol. Well, I was suppossed to work all weekend, but someone came back from vacation early, and wanted some hours, and I couldn't refuse. It meant that I got to pick my babies up from my parents and spend my daughter's birthday and weekend with them. We went to see Daddy at work Friday night for dinner, and he even got to come sit with us for a few minutes. Then, yesterday, we met "Gammy" and "Grandpa" for dinner at Applebee's, and today, we just chilled out at home, and while mommy was in the shower, the kids got into the toilet in the other bathroom. Oh goody. So, 2 baths later, she is napping in their room, and he is playing on my bed, so that he can't get into any other trouble (at this moment, anyway). We have been talking about one REALLY big gift, for both kids. Daddy is thinking about moving his "office" to the living room, and giving each of the kids their own bedroom. It makes sense, she likes toys that he tries to eat, she LOVES pink, him not so much, and she likes Tinkerbell and the Princesses, and he is into Pooh and Cars, so the more I think about it, the more that I am into the idea. We shall see. We have to get an electricion out here, first. There is a short in the living room and kitchen. Bah.

Well, I need to go fix something for the bebes to eat for supper, so I shall leave you all with this little svg. :)

She is from a brush set on DeviantArt.com. I'm not certain by whom, at the moment.

Another Download for SCAL!

I was playing around with a few fonts last night, and came across one called CareBearsByIacy, and was quite impressed and very happy! So, here is a Grumpy bear .svg set, with not only his image, but also a sillhouette, so that you can punch out the pieces and have contrasting images. Be ready for more Care Bears at random, and if anyone knows Iacy, tell them thanks for the awesome font!

New fun!

So I got a nice present as a valentine's day/birthday/anniversary/mother's day gift, and now I want to share with you all some fun that can be had with it. My DH got me a Cricut, and the Sure Cuts a Lot software, which replaces the need for cartridges with the fonts that you have installed on your PC. That's right, folks, you can avoid the $90 a cartridge price and just pay for the software (I paid $65 for mine on eBay- Buy Now option) and you can download THOUSANDS of fonts! PLUS- you can use .svg files- which are scalable vector graphics, and import them into SCAL to cut out custom shapes and the like. There are quite a few places online to download free .svg files, but there are even more to pay jst a small fee and buy a whole set of them. Well, I decided that I would like to share some with you, as well, so here you have it, my first .svg project, a BABY word album. :)

This is just an example, you can cut it out on whatever paper you would like. Each letter is a seperate file, as well, so that you don't have to go through any extra steps to get what you want. Enjoy!
