We had to feed him through a tube, hooked up to a syringe, like they use for shots, only REALLY big! Liquids only, for a few weeks.
He still was a great sport about the whole thing! And seeing family only made him smile!
Poor little guy was all tuckered out, though. Plus, they gave him pain killers, and I think that had a lot to do with his 14 hours a day of sleep! lol. It DID make it easier to keep him happy, though, and he wasn't in as much pain as he would have been!
